Spring-type hardness testers are the most popular measuring instruments for measuring the hardness of rubber, plastics, etc., and due to the use of a needle placement system and a variable limiter, there are few measurement errors, and they are also ideal for quality control.

Type A for soft and type D for hard materials can be selected according to the hardness of the measured object.

Type D is suitable when the measured value according to Type A is 90 or higher.

Reference standards: JIS K 6253/ISO7619 (rubber), JIS K 7215/ISO868 (plastic)
